Delete Your Account
You can request permanent deletion of your DigiVault account and all associated data at any time.
What gets deleted
- Your account — name, email address, and all profile information
- All documents — every encrypted file, image, and PDF stored in your vault
- Encryption keys — your private RSA key, making all stored data permanently unreadable
- Activity logs — all audit trail records associated with your documents
- Notification preferences — all reminder and alert settings
This action is permanent and cannot be undone. Because your documents are end-to-end encrypted with your private key, deletion of your account means your data can never be recovered.
Option 1 — Delete directly from the app
The fastest way to delete your account is from within DigiVault:
- 1 Open DigiVault and go to Profile
- 2 Tap Settings
- 3 Tap Delete Account and confirm
Option 2 — Request via email
If you no longer have access to the app, email us from the address associated with your account and we will delete it within 7 business days.

Delete specific documents only
Without closing your account
You can delete individual documents from your vault at any time without deleting your entire account. Deletion is permanent and immediate — the encrypted file is purged from our servers straight away.
- 1 Open DigiVault and go to Vault
- 2 Long-press a document to select it (or tap the document to open it)
- 3 Tap Delete and confirm — the document and its files are permanently removed

Data retention after deletion
Upon deletion, all your data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. Encrypted document files stored in Cloudflare R2 are purged immediately. Anonymised, aggregated analytics (no personal data) may be retained for service improvement. We do not retain any data that can be linked back to you after the deletion period.
